Afghanistan: An Afghan military helicopter carrying 25 passengers crashed near Anar Dara district of Farah province on Wednesday, killing all 25 people on board.
The helicopter crashed between Anar Dara district and Shindand district and was flying with another chopper which survived.
The Afghan government claimed that the helicopter crashed due to technical failure but Taliban claimed that the helicopter was shot down by its fighters. The claim was made by Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid.

The deputy commander of 207 Zafar corps General Naimatullah & chairman of Farah’s provincial council Farid Bakhtawar are among those killed in the crash.
Afghan Taliban also released several photos of the wreckage of the helicopter as well as dead bodies of passengers.
