India-administered Kashmir: According to reports in Indian media on Friday, another Indian policeman from Kashmir Valley has joined the militant ranks.

SPO Adil Bashir, who was part of the special police force in Jammu & Kashmir, stole 7 to 9 rifles and a pistol from the guard’s room before joining the militant group Hizbul Mujahideen.

His duty was at the residence of MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmad Mir in Jawahar Nagar area of Srinagar. The weapons were stolen from the guard’s room in the MLA’s residence.

The government in Jammu & Kashmir has announced a bounty of Rs 2 lacs on Adil Bashir.
