Pakistan: On Tuesday, Hizbul Ahrar’s spokesperson Dr Aziz Yousafzai released a statement claiming a gun attack targeting policemen guarding a team of health workers in Hub Choki of Balochistan province. According to HuA, three policemen were killed in the attack. There has been no official confirmation of the attack so far from local authorities.
In another statement released on Tuesday, Hizbul Ahrar’s spokesperson claimed a blast targeting two vehicles – one of police and the other of Military Intelligence – in Hayatabad area of Peshawar city, KP province. Hizbul Ahrar’s statement didn’t specify casualty figure or the nature of the blast. Conflicting claims from local sources said that van of a private firm was hit in the explosion, which was reported to be an IED blast.

On 3rd October, Hizbul Ahrar released an additional detailed claim for the 2nd October blast in Hayatabad area of Peshawar city. In this detailed claim, Hizbul Ahrar doubled down on its claim that a vehicle of MI as well as police was targeted in the attack, saying that 8 security officials were killed and 4 injured in the attack. Although, like the initial claim, the detailed claim doesn’t specify the nature of the blast.
