Pakistan: On Tuesday, Pakistan Army’s PR wing the ISPR said in a statement that Pakistan Army has foiled a cross-border attack from Afghanistan targeting Pakistani security posts along the border.

According to the ISPR, Afghanistan-based terrorists attacked a border post of Pakistani security forces in North Waziristan. Security forces immediately retaliated and killed at least seven terrorists and injured three others in exchange of fire.

Border areas in North Waziristan have recently seen a dramatic rise in violence from Afghanistan-based terrorist groups, with both Hizbul Ahrar and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claiming countless cross-border attacks in last several months.
