Afghanistan: Afghan Taliban, armed with heavy weapons, attacked an Afghan Army controlled jail in Jaghatu district of Wardak province on Sunday, freeing at least dozens of prisoners while killing over a dozen Afghan Army (ANA) soldiers. According to last reports from the area, the clashes between ANA and Taliban were ongoing. Additionally, there were reports of airstrikes – most likely by US Coalition or Afghan Army – in the same area while other reports indicated that more Taliban fighters are gathering in the area.
